APEMH launches the "Starterpack"

The "Zentrum fir selbstbestëmmt Liewen" of the APEMH Foundation has announced the launch of its new "Starterpack" booklet, now available in both printed and digital formats.

Developed as part of the Ministry for Digitalisation’s 2025–2026 call for projects, the "Starterpack" is designed for people with little to no experience using computers, smartphones or tablets, with particular focus on people with intellectual disabilities, cognitive impairments or autism. Written in plain language, it enables users to develop essential digital skills step by step and at their own pace, using either a smartphone or computer.

The booklet is divided into six chapters:

• Learning to scan a QR code;
• Devices;
• Creating accounts and using the internet;
• Tips, advice and risks;
• Symbols;
• Continuing to learn.

The "Starterpack" is primarily intended as a self-learning resource. The complete booklet, along with a range of practical exercises, is available free of charge online on the "lern-plattform.lu" online learning platform. A printed copy can also be requested from the "Zentrum fir selbstbestëmmt Liewen" in Esch-sur-Alzette.
