World Consumer Day: “Cybercrime: How can one better protect themselves in everyday life?”

 

As part of the World Consumer Day, the Directorate for Consumer Protection, in collaboration with the Union Luxembourgeoise des Consommateurs (ULC) and the European Consumer Centre Luxembourg, is organising a conference entitled “Cybercrime: How can one better protect themselves in everyday life?”.

Thursday, 12 March 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Programme:
The keynote speaker will be Philipp Kalweit, a well-known cybersecurity expert and ethical hacker. Known for his dynamic and interactive presentations, he will illustrate his talk with simulations, concrete examples and real-life situations. His approach is designed to be accessible to everyone: no unnecessary technical jargon, but clear, understandable and immediately useful explanations.

The conference will be followed by a round-table discussion bringing together several experts in the field, who will share their experiences and answer questions from the audience. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
